Local Scholarships

Learn more about local, state, and national scholarships available to Dufur graduates

Seniors graduating from Dufur High School are fortunate to have an amazing amount of scholarship funds available to them. This is a direct result of the strong community support our school district enjoys.

Here you will find some links to local scholarships that are managed outside of the Ranger Pride Education Foundation.

Dufur Fire & Ambulance Scholarship

All students are encouraged to apply for this scholarship. Preference will be given to students wanting to attend a college or vocational school to pursue a career in the emergency service field, i.e., EMT, nurse, doctor, firefighter, etc. The scholarship will be awarded to a qualifying student chosen by the Fire and Ambulance Board.

The Dalles Rotary Foundation Scholarship

Scholarships are given to students from The Dalles and Dufur High Schools. Awards given for winning essays on the subject of “Service Above Self.”

Randy Rood Memorial Scholarship

Seniors graduating from The Dalles, Dufur, Sherman County and South Wasco County high schools are selected each year for the Randy Rood Memorial Scholarship which was designed to provide support to local graduates who might not otherwise be able to make college a reality. Each student awarded is eligible to receive $2,500 for up to five years.

Wasco Lodge Masonic Scholarship

Each year the Wasco Lodge Masonic Scholarship committee awards scholarships of $2,000 to one graduating senior from The Dalles High School, Dufur High School and Sherman County High School. Based on application, students will be selected for an interview with the committee. Scholarships are awarded based on application, interview, essay, academic record, activities and letter recommendations.
